Azarbayjan doesn’t have an identity problem and, therefore, there is no need to look for a new identity for Azarbayjan. I’m surprised how your letter gets published here.

Azarbyjan has been (at least for ۲,۵۰۰ years) and will be an integrated part of Iran forever. If you have an identity issue yourself, please don’t extend to Azarbayjan.

In a democratic Iran all citizens regardless of their race can enjoy the protection of Human Rights as understood by United Nations. In that case the ethnically Turkish population of Iran will enjoy their rights under such Human Rights. However, don’t pretend that Azarbayjan’s population as a whole is Turkish by ethnicity.
